Pleasant September

Armagh Observatory reports that September was much drier, and slightly sunnier and warmer than average.

Rainfall amounted to 23.6 mm (0.93 inches), that is, slightly less than one third of the monthly average. Over half of the rain fell on one day, September 2nd.

The number of hours of sunshine was 122.2, that is, about 16% more than the average.

The mean monthly temperature was 13.6 degrees Celsius (56.5 degrees Fahrenheit), which is just less than one degree Celsius above average. There were three nights with grass frost.

These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
