July Wetter and Sunnier than Average

Armagh Observatory reports that July was wetter and slightly sunnier and warmer than average.

Rainfall amounted to 97.6 mm (3.84 inches), that is, just over 40% above average.

The number of hours of sunshine was 151.9, that is, about 18 % more than the July average.

The mean monthly temperature was 15.8 degrees Celsius (60.4 degrees Fahrenheit), that is, about 0.8 deg C above the average. The maximum temperature recorded was 23.2 degrees C on 3rd.

These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
