Armagh Observatory reports that February was considerably drier and sunnier than average.

Rainfall amounted to 29.8 mm, that is, slightly over half of the average for February, 57.6 mm.
The total sunshine for the month amounted 86.6 hours, that is, about one-third more than the average of 65 hours.
The mean monthly temperature was 4.9 degrees Celsius, somewhat above the February average figure of 4.2 degrees. There were 17 nights with ground frost and 12 with an air frost.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
