Subject: Tom Mason MBE, Einstein on R.4., Reminders
Hi all,
1. Belated congratulations to Dr Tom Mason, Director of Armagh Planetarium,
for the award of an MBE 'for services to education' in the New Year's Honours!
(I only just read about it this evening!). I'm sure you'll all join me in
congratulating Tom for this award, not least for steering the Planetarium through
the very tricky times since it had to close on H&S grounds pending
refurbishment etc, and now looking forward to its re-opening after the major
refurbishment currently under way. More on that later of course.
2. BBC Radio 4, 3.45 - 4.00pm, Mon.- Fri. (3-7 Jan.) Brian Cox looks through
Einstein's letters.

IAA lecture, Stranmillis college, Belfast, Wed 5 Jan, 19.30. Dr
Katherine Gunn, 'X-Ray Astronomy'. Free admission, all welcome.
