Subject: Comet Neat Easier
Hi all,
Got a better view this evening - it was higher up, in a darker, more
transparent sky.
Slightly elongated, but still no sign of a tail by 21.55 UT, when a bank of
fog rolled in.
Better conditions for a magnitude estimate tonight: I estimated it as 0.4
mags fainter than Hip 39311 (4m.4), making the comet mag 4.8.
In theory that is visible to the unaided eye, but not when it's low down, in
a twilight sky!
Anyway, have a look over the next week or so, as it climbs higher, but before
it fades too much.
Clear Skies,
Terry Moseley
