Hi all,
1. The next SKY AT NIGHT will be on Sunday night (Mon a.m.) at 01.45, when
Sir P, one day short of his 80th birthday, will present a programme on 'dark
matter'.
2. The next IAA public lecture will be on Wednesday 5 March when Kevin
Berwick will give a well-illustrated talk entitled "Suburban Astronomy". It's
at 7.30 p.m., Lecture Room 5, Stranmillis College, Stranmillis Road, Belfast.
Admission is free, and all are welcome.
3. The Tullamore Astronomy Society will be hosting the next of their very
enjoyable COSMOS events on 28 - 30 March, at the usual venue, Annaharvey
Farm, just outside Tullamore, Co Offaly. There's a good range of speakers,
good craic, and observing from a dark site location if it's clear. Details
are on www.iol.ie/~seanmck/tas.htm I can supply a list of accommodation in
the area on request.
Clear Skies,
Terry Moseley
