Subject: TV, Lecture, IAA events, Sun

Hi all,

Back after another very enjoyable COSMOS  W/end in Tullamore - thanks to all 
who made it so!

1. "Days That Shook the World", BBC2, tonight, 8.0 - 8.50: Wright Brothers 
first flight, and Apollo 11 First Moon Landing.
 
2. IAA Public Lecture, Wed 2 April, 7.30, Lecture Room 5, Stranmillis 
College, Belfast. Prof Paul Mohr "Where is the Sun?". Admission free, all 
welcome.

3. IAA Public Observing evening, Friday 4 April, with Stardome planetarium, 
Carnfunnock Country Park, a few miles North of Larne on the main Coast Road, 
signposted. 7.30 for 8.0. See Mercury if you come early, if we're lucky, plus 
crescent Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Vesta, Comet Juels-Holvorcem, etc. All 
welcome. Bring your scopes & binocs if you have them. Wrap up well.

4. As above, repeated on Saturday 5 April, at the WWT, Castle Espie, south of 
Comber Co. Down, 7.30 for 8.0.
Hope to see lots of you, plus friends, at these events.

5. The Sun is extremely active at present! Have a look with a projected 
image, or SAFE PROPER SOLAR filters, and we might even get an aurora sometime 
....
