Subject: Galileo + P. Paice book

Hi all,

Just a final reminder about the Galileo event at Armagh on Sunday 20 October,
from 16.00 to about 20.30, in the Synod Hall, Abbey St, Armagh (nr C of I
Cathedral). It is sponsored by Armagh Observatory and Armagh Natural History &
 Philosophical Society.

The Armagh Theatre Group will give a rehearsed reading of "The Life of
Galileo" by Bertol Brecht, followed by a lecture by renowned astro-historian
Dr Allan Chapman, Wadham College, Oxford, entitled "Galileo: The Martyr who
brought his own Firewood".

Admission is free, but by ticket only: Tel. Aileen McKee at the Observatory
(048 from ROI) 3752 2928, or Email: ambn@star.arm.ac.uk to book.

See you there,

Also, you might like to note that the book entitled "More Small Astronomical
Observatories", edited by Sir Patrick Moore, published by Springer (ISBN:
1-85233-572-6) contains a chapter written by IAA member Peter Paice from
Belfast, whose excellent photos often appear in Astronomy Now, not to mention
STARDUST.

Clear Skies,

Terry Moseley
