Subject: IAA Lecture, Wed 13, + Leonids

Hi all,

The next IAA public lecture will be on Wednesday 13 November, at 7.30 p.m.,
Lecture Room 5, Stranmillis College, Stranmillis Road, Belfast. Prof Don
Kurtz, University of Central Lancashire, will give a talk entitled "Big &
Beautiful: The Greatest Hits of the HST".

Prof Kurtz is an excellent public speaker, and gives many talks to popular as
well as astronomical groups, and the lecture will be illustrated with many of
the HST's most amazing photos, presented by 35mm slide, not a computer
projector! Should be worth seeing!

Admission is free, and all will be welcome.

Don't forget to start looking out for Leonids by the end of the week - some
activity will be present by Friday night, and the 'traditional' maximum will
be on the evening of 17-18 November, while the extra 'storm' peak is
predicted for 04.00 on 19 November. More details on this later.
