Just some info & reminders:

1. The Sky at Night tonight (Sun/Mon) at 01.40 "A Tale of Two Bears".

2. Next IAA meeting is on Wednesday 6 March, 7.30 p.m, Lecture Room 5,=20
Stranmillis College, Belfast: A Double Bill: John Hall will talk on "Grinding
a Mirror" (he has just made a 10"), and David Stewart on "Video Astronomy for
Beginners".  There will also be some Spot Prizes for those attending this
event!

3. COSMOS 2002 at Annaharvey, Tullamore, Co Offaly, Friday evening to Sunday 
afternoon (8-10 March). Full details from:=20

4. The Inaugural McCrea Lecture: "Exploding Stars, Black Holes and Cosmic
Dark Matter" will be given by Sir Martin Rees, Astronomer Royal, on Tuesday,
12 March 2002 @ 7.30 pm in the MacNeill Theatre, Hamilton Building, Trinity
College, Dublin 2

Rees has studied galaxies, quasars, black holes, and the evolution of the
universe, and written several popular astronomy books including 'Gravity's
Fatal Attraction: Black Holes in the Universe', 'Before the Beginning', and
'Just Six Numbers'.
