Hi all,

"Killer Sun" on Channel 5 tonight (Sun) 8.00 - 9.00, is about the dangers
from our nearest star.

A bad case of asteroids: "Armageddon", if you haven't already seen it, has
Bruce Willis showing how not to destroy or deflect an approaching asteroid,
on Tuesday 19, 9.0, on Channel 5. Apart from the plot, it's not bad....

Dr John Mason's first public lecture in his tour is to the IAA on Wed at 7.30
p.m., Stranmillis College, Belfast: "What If We Had No Moon?". Admission free.
On Thursday at 8.0 he talks to the EAAC in Ballyrobert, "The Life & Times of
Stars".

He then gives further lectures in Dublin, Cork & Limerick next Monday,
Tuesday & Wednesday - more details later.

Finally, I have had several more reports of the fireball seen in Co Antrim,
Tyrone & Monaghan at 19h 54m 30s on Wednesday 13: Any other sightings, please
let me have them asap. Please give as much detail as possible, particularly
direction, height, start & end points etc

Thanks,

Terry
