Subject: TV Astronomy + IAA meeting

Hi all,

Hope the New Year has got off to a good start for you...

You might like to note the following TV programmes:

1. Tonight (Sun/Mon):  THE SKY AT NIGHT, 12.40, BBC1. PM talks to Dr David 
Wynn-Williams about a mini spectrometer to search for life on Mars. RTepeated 
on Saturday, 11.50 a.m., BBC2

2. Monday 7th: EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE: Chan 4, 9 - 10 p.m. The first of a 
3-part series, on planets beyond the Solar System. The first epeisode is 
'Planets From Hell' - big hot heavyweights.

3. Friday 11th, 08.00 a.m., BBC Knowledge: Feature on Prof. Stephen Hawking.

And all will be welcome at the first IAA lecture meeting of the new year, on 
Wed 9th, 7.30 p.m. in Lecture Room 5, Stranmillis College, Belfast, when Dr 
Katrina Exter (QUB) will give a talk on "Stellar Outflows (winds, burps, 
farts, jets)" - she said it, not me!
